The Importance of Being Earnest (Crowned) is by far my favourite piece.
I created this piece following the previous (sold out) edition of The Importance of Being Earnest.
Since my recent works often use the symbol of the crown, I decided to create the crowned version of my rainbow coloured skulls.
The crowned version is composed of a colourful array of 48 skulls of myself wearing a crown. This work celebrates a race/gender stigma free world and promotes diversity and inclusion.
It is a limited edition of 10, C-type print mounted on dibond with a 4 mm acrylic glass front. This is my favorite way of presenting my work, a contemporary and minimal presentation, ready to hang thanks to a subframe installed at the back. The glossiness of the acrylic glass enhances the colour and makes them stand out.
