Ecce Homo

Ecce Homo is an homage to Italian Painter Guido Reni and french anatomist Jean-Baptiste Marc Bougery.

Guido Reni(4 November 1575 – 18 August 1642) was an Italian painter of the Baroque period, although his works showed a classical manner. He painted primarily religious works, but also mythological and allegorical subjects. Active in Rome, Naples, and his native Bologna.

Jean-Baptiste Marc Bourgery (May 19, 1797 – June 1849)was a French physician and anatomist who was a native of Orléans. Within 20 years, along with the artist Nicolas Henri Jacob, he created the comprehensive anatomy textbook "Traité complet de l’anatomie de l’homme".

Ecce Homo combines the painting "Ecce Homo" by Guido Reni with one of the plates from the book published by the french anatomist.
